	ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR Carol Ehmann (Author) Carol Ehmann has been a journalist and writer for more than two decades. She was the arts and environment editor of two newspapers on Sanibel Island in Florida, and later owned a newspaper in Killington. Her work appeared in a number of publications including Vermont Life Magazine. A resident of Killington since 1984, she has enjoyed wearing many civic hats, including both Trustee and Program Director of the Sherburne Memorial Library and chairwoman of the zoning board of adjustment for more than ten years. Peter Gould (Illustrator) Peter Gould moved to Vermont 30 years ago and found that his passion for the creative arts was fueled by Vermont's vibrant and ever-changing mountains. His pen and pencil illustrations and colorful drawings have been a familiar delight in the Killington area for the past 15 years, and his work has been widely commissioned for delicate portraits to massive murals. His barn board paintings are among his most treasured inspirations, and his insightful work can be viewed locally at the Cascades Lodge and restaurant.
